The Case of the Missing Website

Fabulously spectacular websites are not found in the first few pages of Google search results just because they are. Fabulous sites are not enough. It is a good start, but that alone will still leave such a site missing from the search engine result pages. And what is the point of having a missing website?
No doubt, being on the first few pages of Google’s search results increases traffic to a website. That increased traffic will likely increase contact from new customers interested in the goods and services being offered.
Of course, typing the actual company name or website address into a search engine like Google will likely result in the website appearing on page 1. But that only works if site visitors already know the company name or web address. If the goal is to attract potential new customers that do not yet know the company name but are looking for the company’s offerings, then more is needed.
By all means, build that website and make it compelling and good-looking. But don’t stop there. If a website is going to attract new customers, then it must be more than beautiful. It must be visible in the first three pages of Google search engine result pages. The first page is even better.
How to get on Google’s first page? Well, it helps to be a fabulously spectacular website, visually attractive with a compelling message. But Google requires more than that. There are many facets of the search engine equation that are factored into determining placement in search engine results.
