The food pantry asks the community for help

The Rhinelander Area Food Pantry (RAFP) will soon be asking for support from the community. Volunteers Connie Griesbach, Carol Hansen, JoAnne Guzik and Bridget Hagerty spent the better part of Monday stuffing, sorting and stamping envelopes to go to more than 1,800 households and businesses in the Rhinelander area.
Bridget Hagerty, a marketing consultant, donated her time to design and write the appeal for financial support to help pay for the more than 20,000 pounds of food distributed to the area's needy families each month. More than 500 families are served each month from the pantry.
Griesbach spent hours coordinating the mailing list and working with the post office to get a bulk rate to pay for the large mailing.
